MapMasker
A downloadable mapping tool for Windows
This is a free RPG mapping utility I have been working on.
Needs to run on Windows (sorry, no Mac/Linux support).
This will work on a single monitor, but ideally the software is designed to work with 2 monitors (or a wireless connection to a smart TV as a second monitor)... one is for the game master view and the other is for the player view.
This would be used to either run a local game with a dynamic map (like a gaming table with a TV) or an online game where the player monitor is shared over the internet. Both the maps and tokens are just JPEG or PNG images that you drag into the world. If you run on a single monitor, then you would need to manually control when your players could view the screen... when using two monitors, that function is built in.
The MapMasker software allows you to drag-and-drop in your own maps and tokens... it's extremely versatile but very simple and allows for the game master to focus on what matters - roleplay!
Enjoy and happy adventures!

version 1.2 tweaks the cameras for the 10 "stages" to maintain unique coordinates and zoom factor when switching between them... also adds a dynamic torch effect for the tokens... happy gaming!
version 1.1 adds some new token features (shape change based on type: player, encounter, NPC)... an initiative tracking system... multiple "stages" to display up to 10 maps/images... and a new toggle GRID system to coordinate movement with your players... enjoy!
